Anybody Else Boycotting Starbucks?
Discussion
Why?
Because we don't need the CEO of Starbucks to talk down the UK economy. (We can do that by ourselves

Mandelson launches tirade at Starbucks boss over attack on UK economy
The business secretary, Peter Mandelson, has launched an extraordinary tirade against the head of the Starbucks coffee empire, accusing him of spreading gloom and overly denigrating the state of the British economy.
Angered at remarks by the company's chairman, Howard Schultz – who said the UK was in an economic "spiral" with "very, very poor" consumer confidence – Mandelson accused him of spreading unnecessary misery and speaking out of turn.
Speaking at a diplomatic cocktail reception in New York last night, he said: "Why should I have this guy running down the country? Who the f
k is he? How the hell are they [Starbucks] doing?"

I think i've always boycotted them for using a name from Battlestar Galactica
I thought it came from a character out of Moby Dick?I'm not actively boycotting them but as A)we don't have any here, and B)I'd rather cut off my genitals with a saw made from my own vertebrae than mix with the kind of vacuous chattering morons who have to spend every waking hour of their life either sitting in a coffee shop sucking on a 'mockyoush!tmenotalatte' or worse still lugging round a small bucket of the same whenever they aren't in a coffee shop, I'd say no to be honest.

I have a breakfast meeting in Starbucks tomorrow morning.....boycotting may be a problem.
On top of this they sell my favourite freshly ground Colombian coffee for my french press at home.
I'll skip the boycott. The UK is in the s
t to be fair so it's hardly like Mr. Starbucks was wrong.....

Who the f&ck is Mandelson, returning from a shady non-job in Europe after being chased out of UK politics twice, to tell us the UK economy is going to be OK?
I know who I would trust, it isn't Mandy the embezzler.

Starbucks is truly s
te, but I might start going there now.
On second thoughts, life's too short for crap coffee
I think Starbucks are a rip off. I hate the f
king vocabulary you have to acquire just to buy a coffee and a cake. WTF is Vente, Grande and sod all, got to do with a staple like coffee.
My problem is that my GF insists that I take her there on a Saturday. She's had the front to suggest I'm mean, just because I think, two cup's of coffee and buns shouldn't cost a tenner. I have noted that she always lets me pay.
