Almost every second or third time I use it on internet purchase, I have to 'reset' the password.

It's just a pain in the butt !

personally , I like it. if you remember your pw you shouldnt need to reset it. It has a number of advantages when it comes to security. worth it IMO.

My point is that using the card (which if i lost it someone would have) and my DOB - probably very easy to find out you can reset the password anyway... making the whole process a pointless exercise.

very true... but it means cards which are 'skimmed' are no use online with the right merchants.

You won't be able to CHANGE the password with only that info though, surely? Instead the new (randomly generated) password will be sent to the registered e-mail address.

When I use it, the retailer doesn't complain if goods are shipped to a non-registered address.
