Banned Banned BANNED! Everything has got to be Banned!

What is going on these days with this word? Everything has to be banned or is going to be banned.

Today since 4pm I've heard people saying:

Kissing has been Banned
Bonuses should be Banned
Tanning Salons should be Banned
4x4's should be Banned

Everytime something bad happens "we need to ban it immediately" this sort of grunting stupidity really annoys me but what really gets my back up is that they don't even mean banned!

They mean "regulated", "moved", "replaced" or just "looked into".

And it's not just the idiotic do gooder fktards who want ban everything that annoy me, it's the sloth like goons in the street who read something in the newspaper and then all we hear is "Yeah like they want to ban using inches" "they want to ban the pound" "the government is going to ban pints"

It's probably because this government has been 'ban happy' and over regulatory. And the news media has stooped to a level of hysteria and fecklessness occupied by most reality TV shows but seriously can we just go one day without screaming to ban everything we hear about on the news.

This is the most blatantly stupid of the banning stories, a train station which was fed up with people stopping in the drop off area and then having lingering ten minute goodbye kissing sessions clogging the place-up has put a no kissing sign in that area and said if you want a long lingering goodbye you should use the short stay car park. This is perfectly reasonable I think.

But in the news the story we get is "Kissing Banned" Train station Bans Love" etc etc, it's just completely retarded.
They didn't ban anything, they just want people to use the drop-off zone correctly not selfeshly delay other people.

Used to irritate me at Heathrow when collecting people at Arrivals, how the greeters would rush forward and fling their arms around the newly arrived person for an extended kiss and cuddle, showing that person and everyone else just how much they loved them (while everybody else had to manouvre their heavy trolleys arounds them). Worst offenders were young women greeting older relatives.
