fkING HELL!!!!!!!!!

second fking time my phone has been cut off now, ok first time was my fault but this time its just byond a fking joke.

last month i phoned up to change my bill date as it was due to come out when i had no cash. The gormless on the other end of the phone told me the date would be changed. Brilliant i thought. But the fking cock spanner didnt tell me it wouldnt take effect that month so when payment is due to come out i have no money in account and woo hooo bank charges me 75 quid bdS!!!!.

I phone up and say look, i have no money, i was told my date had been changed and it would come out on the 30th of the month. I get greeted with the response of yes this is correct but it doesnt take effect untill the next month and not the current month. The had left that out in our last conversation.

He tells me he will postpone payment until the next month (so this month) and then i can pay for two months at the same time.. fine by me i say.

And now tonight after 12 PM making it the 20th (my old payment date for o2) my phone gets cut off. Meaning theres been a missed payment this month.

Im now dreading it as that tells me the gormless s at o2 have cocked up and forgotten to change my date meaning i will incur ANOTHER 70 quid of charges from the back. Im already going thru a 70 refund proceedure with o2 due to their balls up with my first billing date. and if my fears are confirmed tomorrow (am not set up for internet banking) Then i will be ripping the fkers at o2 a new one.

On a slightly more positive note for o2 they have been good in one respect. after fking up the first bill worse that a 2 year old would fk up a liver transplant, i called about obtaining a refund for the charges that were incured due to the mongaloid ish oaf not telling me the bill wouldnt change that month, the woman i delt with about the refund has gotten back to me everytime someting has changed with the situation.

she phoned yesterday eve to appologise for not calling me back monday as she was out of office. and then called me again tonight to let me know that the call logs were being obtainined so im due to know the final verdict on monday.

i feel sorry for her as from my experience her coleagues are jibbering retards doing nothing but shoving the keys for a keyboard up their arses in alphabetical order whilst shining an optic mouse laser into their eyes

Just get a PAYG phone if you can't manage your money well enough.

Think it is the case with most Direct Debits that they will probably take out the next month. As you didn't have the money you could of just cancelled the direct debit. Then call O2 and re arrange your payment in future.

way to take things out of context guys

when you set up your contract that is your 'billing date' that means that is when your bill is created. with direct debit it is paid 14 days after your billing date.

my payment date was the 20th. as i dont get paid till the end of the month i decided it would be a safer bet to move my billing date to the day after i get paid. so i changed my billing date to the 16 meaning payment date was the 30th. I was told that was fine, and it would all be sorted, but wasnt told it wouldnt take effect that month.

so i carried on spending as normal, and thus i got billed. so am in the process of claiming back the 70 from o2 as they didnt explain properly.

i am now worried as my phone has been cut off and its the 20th (old payment date). this leads me to believe that they havent changed the dates. which makes me think im in for another £70 charge from the bank.

if you would like to explain to me how those issues are due to my 'bad money management' then im all ears

I'm with O2 for my mobile phone and broadband, and have to say that they have been an absolute dream regarding accounts & billing dates etc....

In my personal opinion make sure you ask all the right questions before completing the call, this way nobody gets blamed for cocking up dates 7 payments.

I don't think you have mismanaged your finances, i think you have mismanaged O2.

o2 bloke: in order to chage the payment date you need to change your billing date as the payment is due 14 days after the bill has been issued. This will mean its a slightly longer month so you will be charged a small amount extra for that month, but the next month will be slightly cheaper. so it all works out

if before payday you have that little left in the account then payg really is the best option for you.

and look at it this way, you dont have to empty your account prior to payday, it is possible to leave a little in there so that regardless of the bill going out before or after, there is money in there.

it isnt your fault, you exercised your right to request a change. Their SLA will state the terms on payment changes as things take time.
