What the hell are these holes in my garden?
Discussion
Unfortunately no photos and can't find anything on google but...
I have some conifers at the bottom of the garden and underneath the soil is piled up about 18" high.
Over the last few nights (I think so anyway, as at work during the day) 4 rather large holes have appeared in this soil mound about 1 - 2ft apart which seem to be mini tunnels linking each other.
The holes are about 1' or slightly less in diameter and I can't see anything in them or see how deep they go and have not seen any 'activity'.
I'm rather reluctant to start poking things in there as have no idea what I might find, so any help would be welcome.
I live in an urban area but with a brook and alotments/fields across the road.
Badgers? Foxes? maybe.
