weird man flu or just withdrawal symptoms??

Last weekend I had the usual boozy night out involving a few cigarettes and on sunday thought about just taking a month off the booze and giving up the fags altogether, so put my master plan into action.
Then on tuesday I wake with the most god awful chesty cough and runny nose, since then i havent slept much and have been taking many drugs to try and get rid of this flu.... etc.
I think i have got over the worst of it now, but the last few days ive been like a bear with a sore head/throat and my ribs hurt from coughing, as does my back and ive got a cracking headache from all the coughing.
Now was this just a complete coincidence or is it my bodys way of saying... f
king hell, im not smoking anymore, lets try and clear the st from my lungs??
Or is it just man flu/aids and im going to die?
