We all love a Wail link on Friday

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1150822/Wa...

article said:
Watchdog presenter Julia Bradbury today said she had asked for time off while police investigate whether she and her sister received thousands of pounds of free flights.
The BBC star is being investigated over eight occasions when Air Miles points were allegedly added rather than removed from her Virgin Atlantic account.
What's the scam here? How can air miles be added rather than subtracted?

Picture added for educational purposes wink

I think the explanation of why it was considered a "scam" was in one of the posts you deleted...

I wouldn't.

Fly, that is, just to get the airmiles.

Even with the clearly saggy tats?
oops.
Double oops. The first post after a warning to keep things clean clearly doesn't keep things clean.

I take it all back.

They are saggy though

This approach will only work for those who didn't comment on it the first time round.
I forsee a whole new bunch of people repeating history here.
Its the inescapable Bradbury effect

Where's my (new) post gone?

I didn't mention anything in contravention of the new rules regime.

I'm still trying to work out how you would pull the scam.

Quite so.

And I'm not into necrophilia... especially where air miles are concerned.

I looked for it amongst all the deleted posts and still can't see it?! confused (over and above the OP).

Anyhow, a clean slate of a thread awaits....

Maybe it was just an 'electronic glitch' which added airmiles every time she used them instead of taking them away - and she noticed and took the p1ss rather than owning up?

That's the only thing I can think of, but hardly a 'scam' and I wouldn't have thought worthy of police attention?

Without even reading the article I'm guessing her sister works at Virgin and was manually adding airmiles to her account when they should have been automatically deducted.
