Oxford?

Im heading into oxford with the GF on wednesday and wondered if there is much to do there?

i know of a few museums but is there anything that is a must?

or any decent areas around oxford?

Try the old castle. Malmaison have a hotel there. If you have the confidence, go into the hotel as if you are a resident and wander through to the old cells. It is a great sight.

The biggest challenge you'll have is finding somewhere to park the car - they don't like private car owners in Oxford...

My then gf and I managed to get locked up there a couple of years ago. . .not a bad hotel, interesting location too.

never had a problem myself, either in the centre itself or the park and rides. Not cheap mind you!

+1. There is the ice rink a short walk from the town centre if you like that sort of thing. If possible dinner at the Randolph Hotel is a must.

Now come on, that's hardly fair. A bodyguard won't be much use. You'll need way more than that.

And just make sure the vehicle doesn't stop or they will have the wheels from under you!!!

I think most/all of the park and rides are free now, well apart from the couple of quid for the bus to take you into the centre.

As mentioned before Pitt Rivers is well worth a look, I think it might just be the upper gallery that's closed at the moment. If it is shut then nip over to the Turf Tavern and there's some lovely places to eat in Jericho.
