Placing a T.V. on a wall - how much would builder charge???

I'm a DIY numpty, and the fact that my house is a newbuild with plasterboard makes me even less likely to have a crack at this myself. I've got a 42 inch samsung plasma that I'd like up on the wall. Just a bog-standard job, I don't need anything fancy.
I don't have much free time and I don't want to waste a builders time coming round to give me a quote if it's going to cost a lot. Anyone have an idea what a local builer might charge? This is at south east prices. Just a ball-park figure would be good, then I might get someone in. Cheers....

Very little, for a just mounting a bracket to the wall.
If you want the cables hidden, the price goes up a bit.
If you do, then the cost will depend on the finish you have. The builder will have to match back up after the wall is repaired.
Buy all the right length cables you will need in advance.

Okay, so it's going on the wall between the two houses - that's good, as therefore it's gunna be brick not a stud (wood frame internal) wall. You need to get the appropriate wall mount for your TV (they are usually VESA compliant, but get the right type). Chances are your plaster board is "dot and dabbed" onto the wall, that is stuck directly to the brick using plasterboard adhesive. At this point I'd drill a test hole (that will be hidden by the mount!) to see if you can get through to the brick. Then it's a case of choosing your fixings acording to the weight of the tv. Anything from your basic rawl plug for a 15" upto a full on rawlbolt or sleeve anchor for something heavier. THere may be some recommendations with the mount as to what fixings to use. Critcal thing is to not skim on cheap fixings and use the correct size drill bit for the hole (usually specified on the packaging). Obviously you'll need a hammer drill.
Position wise figure out where you want it (height etc). line up mount on wall. Use spirit level to get it straight. Mark first hole and drill. Then use the mount itself as a reference as to where to drill the other holes.
