New CBeebies presenter - Cerrie Burnell

Any of you dads (or mums!) spotted the new CBeebies presenter - Cerrie Burnell?
There was discussion about her on the Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show at lunchtime today - I only caught the end of the piece but I understand some people had been moaning about how her "stump" (for want of a better word) was upsetting their kids.
Our daughter is only 13 months old so doesn't seem phased by it at all but whats the thoughts of other PH parents?
I think my choice of the word "moaning" above sums up how I feel about those complaining!

The children are clearly at far greater risk of being traumatised by having intolerant fkwits for parents.
I expect the BBC will be a little more polite about it, but if they want to forward the complainants details onto me, I will call them and tell them.

FFS she was born like that.
When I was at school there was a kid with no hand on one arm ( I can't spell thalidomide)
But it is a fact of life.
Shielding kids from it does not help.
leave the girl alone unless she starts teaching kids that she is better or that having this is some sort thing to be proud of and treated specially.
If she doesn't have a problem with getting on with her job in a normal way then why should anyone else have a problem.

I didnlt hear the prog either (heard it through the wife) but hopefully Jeremy gave the complainers a shoeing.My 8 y/o pointed it Cerrie out to me when she started, and we discussed that she must be very proud at getting the job dispite her disability. What the hell do the complainers tell their kids to scare them FFS?
