The new weightwatchers advert.

Now it is me or to weightwatchers just go, don't be such a greedy cow..............

Or is it more difficult for some people to eat their own dinner and not then proceed to eat whatever else is around on people's plates? I do hope at least she used to let them eat as much as they wanted before getting stuck in....

Many children, myself included and especially those brought up by parents who lived through the austerity of the post WW2 period were constantly told to "clear our plates". Understandable, but in retrospect not always a good idea.

If the kids were being fed good quality, balanced meals and then out and about playing, getting up to a bit of mischief and having adventures then there's no reason why they couldn't clear their plate.

It's more the advert indicating that the mother was so greedy that she would eat her child's dinner as well..... But now with the help of weightwatchers she no longer does that.

Unless she was just being kind and eating their food to stop them eating it and getting fat......

yes Which is why I let my kids leave stuff these days. No point turning them into compulsive eaters, they'll eat if they're hungry.

Absolutely - but society and the calorific / fat content of food has changed.

I don't think the problem is necessarily about quantity with most people - it is type of food, when eaten, and lack of physical exercise.

I sympathise with her though - I felt the same when my wife was breast-feeding my youngest.

My problem is exactly that. Mrs B and B is practising putting less on in the first place, starting with me having only half as many sandwiches and challenging myself to , (Gulp) 'leave food on the plate'. When I was a kid not eating evrything meant you were ill.

Someone take this man to an all you can eat buffet, and keep stoking up his plate. I for one would pay to see you eat until you burst....biggrin

How odd?

Everyone I associate with has comparable hygiene to me, and I'll happily try other people's food, or even finish a meal if they're not hungry...sounds like you've got a bit of a hang up there buddy!

But then again I am a student...;)
