This should be interesting.
Unfortunately I won't be watching it, but just in case you want to..

EastEnders is to air the first episode featuring an entirely black cast for the first time in its 23-year history.

If I had to watch one of the two it would be Coronation Street. It might have less black people, but it does have nmore sniggers.

Yes, "lets not discriminate - but 'the blacks' are special and deserve an episode all to themselves." FFS. Things will never be equal if we KEEP pointing out differences.

Another case in point where this would be racist if the races were reversed. So very right on. So very BBC.

Why is this 'news' or 'a landmark'?

It's one episode that tonight will centre around a couple of the black members of the cast. That's it!! Obviously it's most likely going to be 'all black' if said episode centres squarely on them sitting around their fking dinner table.

Would it be a 'landmark' if it was just about Ian Beales family sat round their dinner table?

fk sake, if they just replaced everyone in the square with black people I could maybe understand but one family? sitting in their home? Who happen to be black? A landmark? fk off.

To be honest, I don't see why anyone should care. Eastenders got boring a long time ago so nobody really watches it,

I can understand programmes having different types of people in but to promote an all black cast is surely rascist?

its like when people go on about obama - i think he is an inspiring guy but why the need to keep mentioning his skin colour - that is an irrelevant factor in my opinion.
'All black cast' is a bit of a fking stretch, it's five people!! One, two, three, four, fiiiiiiiveeeeeee people.

I'm sure the BBC news reported not that long back (can't find a link though) about an episode where there was only one character in it, presumably white, so the all white one has already been done.

So they are having an episode with all black actors.

So what not news worthy

in the episode they talk about racism and notting hill riots and the challenges a black family have to contend with.

fk sake here we go.
