Not defending the way this guy killed the seal pups but isn't this probably a case of him killing seals to protect the fishing stock? Similar to a chicken farmer killing foxes?

I agree it's quite horrible, but where does the law draw the line, i mean for some animals its perfectly acceptable, say a rat, or an insect, at which point do you start needing to be humane in the eyes of the law ?
