Smart Casual - How do you pull it off correctly?
Discussion

Sick of the shirt,pants attire.
I can do the smart attire fairly well, I'm having issues with choosing the right stuff to look smart yet be a little more comfy. Is it all just wooly jumpers? Would plain black Polo shirts and chino's do?
Any ideas or shops I should be looking at?

pants should always be worn, boxers or trunks preferably
I don't do smart casual, I do smart or casual, as it usually descends into dodgy chino / loafer / jumpers around shoulders crap
what is the occasion?
PS shirts tucked into jeans look tragic, as does blue jeans and black shoes

Clothes are coming up to 6month old, M&S Autograph range trousers seem crap and the Kurt Geiger's just don't seem to last,I should have bought some Loakes or Brogues for the same price!I don't do smart casual, I do smart or casual, as it usually descends into dodgy chino / loafer / jumpers around shoulders crap

well if you were a girl I would suggest a dress. You can wear dresses casual or smart, I always do
I love them
What about black jeans and a nice top
Or just normal smart ish jeans with something like a smart jumper. My man has a really nice jumper that looks either casual or smart depending on the situ and what you wear it with! I love it, cant remember where its from though!

Shirt under jumper with jeans (dark not light coloured) is one of the easiest ways to pull this off.
Jeans can never be classed as smart casual. They are just casual.Smart casual= dressing like a golfer.

Jeans or trousers, open necked shirt with jumper over jop, is usually how I do smart casual.
Unless it is a formal occasion that requires smart casual, in which case I just wear a suit without a tie.

Although when I had my assessment day a few people turned up in jeans :s . I was in a suit as were most people!
Dress smart on the top half, ie shirt and tie, and wear pink cottons with slipper on the bottom - Casual.
Done.
On a serious note I would say darkish boot fit jeans with either brown shoes or Timberlands, a white short sleeved shirt with a jacket of your choice (mine would be probably brown leather?)
