Hi All

Need some help here, i need some advice on things to do in London on a Monday, during the day.

I was thinking of things like Jack the ripper tour, theatre etc but a few problems with these. The Jack the ripper tour is in the evening and there does not seem to be many theatre shows on during the day, most start at 7. (Remember its a Monday)

Already thought of London Eye, Madame Tussauds, London Zoo. What else???

Cheers in advance...

Museums in South Kensington. The British Library next to St Pancras station, also the station is worth a visit. Imperial War Museum, south of the river. Regents and Hyde Parks.

Of all the tourist attractions I think the Tower of London and the London Eye are the most highly rated, although I haven't been to either.

How long have you got? You could go around the tower, catch a nearby river boat(either tourist or commuter) and head down to Greenwich and the Maritime museum.

Pick a museum. In fact pick several...

If youre doing the Eye you might as well do the London Aquarium whilst you're there.

They have reduced their prices now due to the crunch! A soapy is now just $10. Go fo it, you may as well if your down there. Next time you visit the prices will probably have gone through the roof.

Museums are free. Whats not to like? Check out Imperial War, Science and Natural History museums.

London Eye is rubbish, takes half a fecking hour to go around and you can easily queue for just as long!

HMS Belfast on the other hand is magnificent

The museums are great, especially the Imperial War Museum and the British Museum. You can do both in a day.

Vinopolis

V&A Museum

Tate Galleries

Science Museum

Natural History Museum

Camden Town is ideal on a Monday morning - get there around 10, watch the traders changing the price tags from weekend to weekday prices. Still overpriced tourist tat though.

My vote goes on these. V&A, Science and Natural History are great and to be honest, you wont get round even one of these in a day if you take your time. British Library is great and the Imperial War Museum is actually quite fascinating. We may sing down the UK and everything that we stand for, but we sure do have a lot of history and architecture and it would be a shame to miss it.
