Last year they would have used fuel prices as the reason this year its the exchange rate biggrin

Prices have been artificially low for years now due to massive over capacity in the market.

With a few operators going bust and mergers and consolidation between many of the survivors I think cheap holidays to decent destinations will be much harder to find.

Sharm has also become much more popular due to being a non euro country.

I had a result after Thomas Cook messed up. Got a 2 week holiday all inclusive to Barbados staying at the Mango Bay Hotel flying with Virgin for £929 pp. Over £800 cheaper than what it would of been had I gone through Virgin for the whole holiday.

Maybe people should go back to how life was before endless credit cards were available? A week in Morecambe, once a year?

Or maybe not..... scratchchin

Does the 'free' hire car include insurance?. Last time they offered it to me, the car insurance was not included, adding it made it more expensive than just hiring a fully insured car when you get there!

Egyptian £s surely?
Was in Sharm last October and drinks were about the same as here, ie very expensive!
As nearly all the resorts are all inclusive probably not that big an issue anyway?
