We're getting our new WC installed tomorrow, but wondering what colours we should do it in. Does anyone know where I could look for examples?

White, unless you want to have to change it again in 2 years when it has gone hideously out of fashion! smile

Brown, for obvious reasons. On the subject of, why do new toilets have poor anti-splash design .. you know the bowl is shaped so that there is no 'safety area' on which to deploy the turd without causing splash-back.

I like blue, which says to me "aqua" - which is French for water.

get a german spec pan - they have a ledge on which the stool rests on for inspection, if required, before it is flushed seaward

Very futuristic. You can imagine Buck Rogers having a dump on that... ...in the 23rd century.

BTW, ledges?? Straight into the water IMHO, no fussing, no unnecessary smell, no need to brush stty marks off the pan. HTH.

I find that a thin coating of engine oil on the surface of the water prevents splashback wink

What one needs is a pap-baffle-applicator - where to purchase might be the problem.

Could the collective engineering genius that is Pistonheads come up with an Anti-Splashback Technology(tm) (AST) toilet?

Does anybody really worry about fashion in this context? If the worry is that it may be felt to be out of fashion in the eyes of a potential buyer of your house, I wouldn't worry about that. Many new buyers seem to rip out kitchens and bathrooms and have new ones anyhow.

Have what best pleases you and to hell with fashion. The fashion 'industry' is only a load of bks designed to part you from excessive sums of your hard earned cash. HTH.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Well, I don't think we're being 'fashionable' with it anyway. Total cost inc installation of c.£400. Thinking we might do white on 3 walls, and a bright colour on one wall.
