Hi

I have 30,000 nectar points

Their reward system is probably intentionally utterly complex and hard to fathom

We are a family of 4
I dont care what we cash them in for as long as its a good deal

2 adults, 2 kids age 4 and 7

Holls booked in the US and europe this year
Flights booked to the states but no ferries
Adults like cheap hobbies, kids flexible

Any ideas about what to do with the points would be appreciated to maximise the gain

We already have (cheap) subs to our favourite car and food magazines

Any ideas?
I dont know what
Alton Towers, travel insurance etc etc etc

Admit that absolutely everything you have ever done has been recorded by a faceless organisation and will form the basis of the next round of government legislation to ban anything that is remotely fun/interesting/exciting/stimulating/open to the exercise of personal choice ?

Use it for shopping??

I've just changed 7500 for £40 worth of Sainsburys vouchers. I know its nothing fancy but £150 of grocery shopping

I have a load of Nectar points to spend too. I looked on their site and decided by far the most sensible thing to do is get Sainsburys vouchers!

For me, Blockbuster video's are the best value:

500pts = £2.50 off shopping, OR
500pts = Free DVD rental (Normal cost circa £3.50ish)

So I only ever spend my points on rentals.

I am so tight i don't rent Movies any more. Why bother when in six months you can buy the movie for less than the rental costs when it was new.
