I ate a fish bake thingy (Birdseye) around 40 minutes ago. It contained about 50g of carbs, 40g fat, 46g protein. Basically, it was a big meal. I'm already hungry again.

I know I have a fast motabalism, but this is taking the p!ss. Usually after a big meal I can last around 2-3 hours before getting peckish. I've been eating a lot more recently too as I'm trying to put on weight, and doing a lot of weights at the gym too.

Question is, is there something wrong with me?

A friend of mine had the same thing a few weeks back. Which reminds me, I'm still hungover from his funeral!

Hmmm I'm pretty sure its not worms. I've been like this for years. Except recently I've been getting hungry a bit quicker, maybe due to the exercise.

Any tips for slowing my metabolism down? Tried eating fewer large meals but that didnt work, just ended up eating lots of large meals.

More you eat, and the more you exercise the more you will eat..

The meal you mention sounds like child's play to me..Then again my tea was about 1kg worth of steak with veg and mash!!

Make yourself something proper, and make sure its full of the good stuff. Protein I mean.

mmmm I just ate a tin of mackerel thanks to this thread hehe

Yup eat more protein, I eat 20-27 cans of tuna a week, apparently my kidneys will fail soon and I will die of mercury poisoning but I look damn fine in a t-shirt.

Seriously just eat well and eat a balanced meal.

I do the same, if your trying to pack on muscle make sure you eat often it might help a little. I eat at the moment 6 meals a day if i can fit them in. They don't all have to be big meals but it will give you energy pretty much all day. Unfortunately if you are lifting weights often you will be hungry most of the time. I can eat a 3 course meal and still be starving. On the positive note you just won't feel bloated. Just get some protein shakes or tuna and rice or something. Porridge for breakfast alwasys helps, stops me thinking about food for around an hour if i'm lucky.
