A new series has just started.

I simply cannot understand why that tt has got the job.

It must be awesome to travel the world trying to catch big fish.

Robson just whinges and complains. fktard.

I did start watching the last series. But I stopped when they were harpooning big carp, he picked one up and showed it to the camera.

FFS, if your going to 'catch' an animal in such a brutal way, then do it for a purpose, like food, and put it out of it's misery as soon as humanly possible. Don't to it for fun and then paradfe it for the camera whilst it is suffering.

Dear me. Just watching this when he's in Alaska - awesome place, awsome fishing.....yet I find him very close to unwatchable. Bring back John Wilson!!! "ooooop, hello.....we're in...."

Some presenters have the rare gift of taking a subject in which one has no interest and rendering it fascinating.

Robson Green has the inverse of this gift. I love fishing, but after a few minutes I would rather watch the BBC4 documentary on the miners' strike.

I love fishing, but must admit that Robson's style is not my own. Love watching it though.
Oh, and the electric reels; is that cheating or what. Mind, I suppose it saves on the back-ache.

I've not seen it but I admit to giving a double take when I misread it in the paper as "Extreme Fisting with Robson Green".

Well, I thought Robson was going to be the recipient of an Extreme Fisting when, as Plfrench mentioned, asking for a glass of white wine. biggrin

An AMAZING agent! Seriously, a subject I've got a bit of an interest in, particularly in Alaska, and its a struggle to watch him! I can imagine he's a nice bloke and all that, but jesus, he doesnt half grate!

friend does fishing, he spends several hours yanking fish out of the water and then throws them all back again afterwards, utter waste of time

I've got a mate like that, spends all afternoon chasing a rubgy ball, when he catches it he just runs with it a bit then throws it away again. Not once has he brought it home and eaten it. What's the point?

always wondered about these big strapping guys and their obsession with holding onto other balls, never had the urge and it is not something that watch on TV smile

mind you the better ones get paid some money for grabbing balls, something fishermen can dream of, or maybe go pro and work in a fishing boat smile

I wish he would slip in and get chomped to death by a shark, now there's good entertainment.
