PH has plenty of female members it seems.

Many of them are regular posters in the P&P.
That's great.

But given that they are on PH I assume they are interested in cars/driving.
Again, great.

My question then is:

"Why do hardly any of the women post in General Gassing?"

Genuinely interested.

I do sometimes when there's something I can either add value to, or find interesting... as I don't know very much I can't often say anything useful!

I do too....just don't want to make a fool of myself (do that enough here hehe )

I tend to read threads, but never comment....way over my head

one theory is that there are more than it seems, as some aren't recognised as being women, and they don't advertise the fact.

That happened the other day...Condor (I think was her user name), she got most upset that no one in a thread knew she was a female

I do sometimes, more in the spotted threads than the technical ones, just don't have the knowledge to provide, but read and learn a lot. Am often perusing the 'Yesterday's Heroes/Clasic car' forum, and TVR too. Sometimes flick through events, and other areas.

Perhaps they are just more discrete and do not need to announce they are female?
Theres probably a good reason for them not wanting to disclose their gender on PH...

wavey Hello Gretchen, long time no see.

I'm the same, I read GG and Yesterday's Hero, but unless it's something to do with identifying a car, I don't usually have enough knowledge to add anything.

We really need to drill into the spades of new posters around here that these naff puns aren't acceptable.

I do, now and again, but when on "serious car stuff" usually head for the TVR section as more relevant to my current needs!

Hello yourself Mrs T. Hope all is well and family behaving.

I like the car orientated company, but I suppose the 'girly' gossip side gets the better of me hence posting in here...along with most of the chaps wink
