So, what lessons has life taught you?

There seems to be a certain amount of wisdom on PH and I thought we should have a thread where we can collect this wisdom to share. It can be funny or serious, it can be about love or money anything you feel you know something about.

I'll start.

When buying a car always leave a 'what if fund' otherwise you won't enjoy the car as much because of the fear of something going wrong.

Also never trust a fart

I have learn't that no matter what happens, life is too short. There will be days where the st hits the fan (whether that be in your job, relationship or with personal luxories like your car breaking) but its always good to take things one at a time in a calm and composed manner.
