Your leader is addressing the combined houses of Congress today. He is proposing a "plan for the U.S. and the U.K. to lift the world out of recession"

That incompetent bell-end couldn't lift himself out of the bath without fking something up.

Seriously. Barack (and I know you're reading this), don't listen to a thing this prick has to say.

I am interested in the weight of his carbon footprint for what was a 30 minute meeting with the new President.

rofl Excellent - as for that gobste Brown going to America to try to pretend that he's got something worth saying - well he should stay at home and try to sort the mess he's brought down upon the UK before he goes about trying to save the fking world.

Christ that man's just the most arrogant fkup, how dare he pretend he's got a fking clue and how very dare he try to bullst his way into the favour of the US.

We were all routinely treated to the fine orations of Saint Blair by all media outlets. For whatever reason, Brown gets virtually no airtime here and most Americans are not used to seeing or hearing from him.

The write up states that Brown is hinting at tax cuts for the U.K. That would be a bit of good news if true, would it not?

Splendid. I look forward to the rapid demise of our "special relationship".

The thing is, what they give with one hand, they take with the other. In any normal situation you wouldnt lose out, but this lot use The Beadle Hands as measurement

Is that something you actually want or is that your predicted results of Brown's efforts?

If only. £10 says only basic rate tax payers will see a cut, whereas anyone remotely middle class with be bent over & shafted yet again to pay for the layabouts labour core voters more disadvantaged members of society I knew I would get there in the end

There is an election coming up and Brown will happily bankrupt the country to try and cling on to power. Fortunately he is almost universally despised and has no chance.

It's a shame that we can't stop him travelling abroad - like we can with football hooligans - at least that way we can stop the incompetant tt getting in the way of grown-ups.

Both. I really don't see any advantage in it for us (And I don't see a great deal in it for you either.)

I suppose I see it in a more sublime way. I see you as the nation in Europe that has far more in common with us than the rest of Europe. From that can (and has)come various types of advantages.
If you can see no advatage to either of us, can you tell me of any disadvantages? If not, why not just let it stand?

You jest. The shared intelligence alone is worth a fortune to both countries. And I suggest you read Vulcan 607 to get a flavour of the military assistance the yanks gave us.

Being (seen to be) drawn into your foreign policy is the main one. We may not have language in common with Europe but at least we have some influence.

And continue to give us? IMO the relationship is currently very one sided.

Surely that is the choice of your leaders. Having a general trust and mutual aid program has advantages that outweigh the cons IMO.
