Any of the tat from in them?

This weeks saw a dragon handled battleaxe, a Disney Christmas scene with moving goofy railway, a ring showing how much you love your daughter (about £30 by all accounts) a baby doll ( a snip at £80-in convenient monthly installments)
A pink velour lee zoor suit and of course, the most comfortable trousers ever or your money back.

Other favourites have been the battle of Britain cuckoo clock and a christmas egg inspired by faberge (during the acrylic period)

Question is, does anyone ever buy this st?

People must buy this tat - have you seen how much it costs to advertise? Even a small advert on one of those pullout a4 sheets costs over a grand so they must sell plenty to cover costs.

No.

But my first job was selling this tat in a call centre for one of these companies - mainly jewellery and assorted niknaks. And yes lots of people bought them - at the inconvenient monthly instalments.

Everything was at an absolutely horrendous mark up.

They have since gone bust though.

There have been some beauties on the back of the Sunday magazine that used to come with the NOTW.

I particularly like the Elvis Denim Jacket they once did. I also liked the variety of Princess Diana tat they came up with. Ive still got a tenner bet with a mate that there will one day be a Princess Diana Memorial Samurai Sword......

No.

I can't imagine any of the stuff being worth anywhere near the asking price.

I can imagine it now. Her face on the handle, and "Queen of our hearts" written down the blade. It could be mounted on a "Mahoganique" base, encrusted with Diamonettes. Dont forgot the obligatory "Certificate of Authenticity" showing the it is from a ltd run of only 500,000. smile

fk, three of the offending articles in this weeks rag from one company. How much is the advertising bill?

I like the way you have to beg first...please reserve me....I confirm I am borderline senile.

The via stuff is spot on and more accurate than you would give credit to.

Does anyone remember the council house they did with the washing machine 'lovingly bedded into the front garden'

As priceless as the real stuff is worthless
