Just wondered for those PH'ers who are lucky (or unlucky) enough have either brothers or sisters how you generally get along with them....scratchchin

I suppose I am fairly lucky, I have known my brother nearly fifty years, we have worked closely together for nearly thirty, and never had a cross word (to speak of)......

Over to you........

Better now we are older. Still argue occasionally but then we are quite different. Get on well 99% of the time though and are off for another road trip in the summer driving

A younger brother....see him once a year, if am lucky frown

Plus two half sisters, who I have never met...and tbh am not sure they even know I exist.

Might also be a few more, as my father was a bit of a 'jack the lad'

I'm 20, and my sister is 16. I hated her. Honestly, we argued all the time, I thought she was a complete and utter tit. And the feeling was probably reciprocated.

However, since I went to uni in September, we've become really close. I've discovered she's actually quite a nice person. Be cool to think we'll still continue to have a good relationship in the future.

I've got 2 older sisters.

One I cant stand, haven't spoken to her for 3 years and won't be going to her funeral.
She lives 5 miles from me and I see her almost weekly. frown

The other I totally adore and would jump in front of a bullet for.
She emigrated to Australia in 2006, I haven't seen her since and she has never known me as her sister. frown

We hated each other when we lived together back in the day, and when we al get together at xmas, there seems to be still a touch of atmosphere when we are together... Me bro's and I get on really well, and my sis gets on with the bro's well also...

she is bossy and tries to dominate everyones lives and I cant let it go and I argue back...

That is very sad.

None of my business whatsoever, but is there any chance you can patch things up? Because I know from experience that such things can haunt if it is too late to do anything about it................. Do tell me to get stuffed etc.. etc.. but I have also known others who have acted in the same way, and pretty much all of them regret it later.........

Sister I haven't seen or spoken to for probably 8 years. If I say we DO NOT get on and never have done then it is an understatement. She is a far from a pleasant person and will steal anything from anyone.

I also have a half brother and sister I do believe but I have never met them.

Is it illegal anyway for women? I thought the law didn't recognise lesbian sex? Not that we ARE I would like to very firmly point out!!

It's really sad reading some of the comments. And the same on the 'will' thread... I guess I'm very lucky to have two sisters and a brother who I get on incredibly well with and would choose as friends if we weren't related.

Also had two much older half brothers who are now both dead, one of whom especially, I'd have really like to have known better when they were alive.

No. I despise and detest her for the way she treats people, in particular my Mum.

I only acknowedge her existance to satisfy my mum but when the time comes that she (mum) passes away I will never, ever have anything to do with sister.

I'm sure I won't regret it.

I've got two brothers - one older and one younger - and I'd take a bullet for either of them. And I know they'd take one for me. Can't imagine ever falling out with them - none of us have ever raised our voices with each other. We've had disagreements but we simply respect each other's point of view.
