I went out there once and it was fairly crap. The restaurant was rubbish, though they did at least make an effort. You could tell that people don't eat out very often up there, and it felt a bit backward and old fashioned.

And your right, it's crap. All the scousers come in looking for fights as there are too many camera in Liverpool..

Best Italian Resturant is Mama Mia's on Lord Street. Not pretentious, spotlessly clean and the food is always raving hot with plates straight out of a furnace.Do the Calzone and chips.

Can you not get the train to Liverpool smile Much better night out...

How about going to see the beach in Ainsdale, lunch in formby, go and see the Gormley statues in Waterloo/Crosby, dinner in Liverpool (Some fantastic restaurants) and then go on a night out in town? smile

The docks in Liverpool are good. I spent about a million pounds though.

Albert Dock good and loads of places to eat and drink.

Only a short walk into town for more pubs etc..
