Went to see him at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax last night after receiving tickets for christmas. Never been much of a fan to be honest so wasn't overly excited when i got the tickets. However, i thought he was quality. He was on for around 2 hours and had me in stitches for the most part and some great interaction with the audience.

Has anyone else been to see him on his tour? I'd recommend it to anyone who is considering going.

Been on a few before, met him and shook his hand, also got him to sign a cheque! (mine, not his unfortunately)

The annoying this is alot of the material is repeated, but its still a bloody good show/evening out.

I just can't find him funny knowing that he writes hardly any of his own material. On shows like QI etc. when he has to rely on his own "wit", he is cringeworthy, always spouting stuff that wouldn't seem out of place coming from a 13 year old schoolboy.
I've tried to like him, but I just can't.

I know what you mean, I think he's hilarious, but on shows like QI, he's so bad it's embarrassing.

Even if all his stuff is writen for him (and I have no idea if it is) his delivery is superb.

Only seem him on TV, but think he's pretty funny... But then I have a fairly sick sense of humour.

He's awesome!

What's black and white and red all over???

....half a penguin
....a menstrating nun
etc etc

and the question posed to the audience..."would you shag your dad to save your mum....girls it easier for you!"

laugh

Saw him in Hammersmith a month or so ago, absolutely brilliant live. He excels at audience interaction, and ruining hecklers who think its worth a go. Got to be right up there in terms of my favourite comics. He's got such a funny, chubby little face too.....

My flatmates saw him doing a 'home' gig in cambridge a while back, said they were nearly having a heart attack from the laughter.

Stand-ups are always better live, I saw Chuby Brown in blackpool, wasn't a fan beforehand but live he is excellent, same goes for Paddy Mcguiness, can't wait to se Michael Macintyre in October.

Michael Macintyre is NOT funny.

He laughs at his own jokes!
