2 ipods and 1 itunes?
Discussion
I have an ipod with all my music on it, my girlfriend now has an ipod, but has no clue how to 'work it'
Easiest option is to just put all my music on her ipod but is that possible? I,m sure it is as i seem to remember reading something about it on here.
I dont want to wipe my itunes stuff, maybe that wouldnt happen but i,m dubious as i dont really like itunes as i have wiped things in the past myself.

Close itunes and open itunes again whilst holding down shift, but this time select choose library and find your old one.
oh no!I just did that and theres only the new empty library on there.
EDIT
Its back now phew

nearly had a panic attack then

what would happen if it just connect her ipod up? would i be able to just put everything on my library onto her ipod with no trouble?

I just use one iTunes for my iPhone & Nano
All our music is in the library, then I created a playlist for the phone and one for the nano.
iTunes recognises which is which, and syncs whichever is plugged in
That was the easiest way I've found, also means I don't get his crap music clogging up valuable space

Ah thats ok, i just got her this for her birthday after hearing 'can you do me a few cd's' a few too many times
Downside is she is worse with all this stuff than me so now it will be...
'ah can you get this track for me, i dont know how to do it'
or
like last night where she thought the lock button was the on button
I,ll never win!

Apologies for hi jack, but I also have a question relating to I tunes...
I had a pretty large library on I tunes, all synched to my I pod. However, the laptop is now buggered and awaiting replacement, I have an account with iTunes etc. What will happen when I install iTunes on the new laptop and connect my iPod ? Will it clear my iPod? Or will the iPod sync the tunes on it, to my newly created itunes?
Thanks all

Try something like eph pod to get all your tunes back from your ipod, and then add them to the new iTunes, before connecting the ipod to iTunes
