How to invest the Euromillions in todays Climate
Discussion
Ok i know there is another thread running about how you would spend the 85 mil if you won it BUT this thread is different
Considering todays Economic Climate, the state the banks are in, and the stock exchange, how would you safely invest the 85 mill from the Euromillions if you won it?
Consider the following
You are not going to spend any of the money
You are going to try and invest it safely and draw of the interest
What is the safest way

Ok guys i know it's Friday night and all that BUT your only allowed to invest it in the finacial sector. No Coke or hookers allowed...;)
Whats the safest way
I didn't read only the financial sector in the OP.Whats the safest way
IN any event, I wouldn't invest ANY full amount of winnings in ANY one sector or idea. Have you not heard of investing in Umbrellas and Suntan Lotion?
So, I would buy some bonds (actually, Gilts and rather a lot of them to guarantee, well at least as well as possible, an income stream), I would put some in a pension fund... Perhaps buy rather a few AIM shares for a punt.
BUT< being realistic, I wouldn't only invest in financial markets, after all, I used to work there, I know what happens.......

As above, sod any investment. Why would you want to take ANY risk with that amount of money already in a (safe) bank if there is such a thing.
My god though i would be good at spending it
