Well, I lost my job at the end of September, haven't been able to find another since.
My 3 year old son is being moved away, meaning I shan't see him for up to three weeks at a time.
My fiancée has been ill on and off for 6 months, on huge amounts of drugs, and no one seems to know the root cause of her illness.
I am fking skint in the extreme.
Just to put a cherry on top of this stinking turd, I was due to get married yesterday (Saturday) at coombe abbey in Coventry, but had to cancel due to the lack of finances and fiancée health.

All in all a st time all round, but at least one of us has our health I guess.
I have just spent quite literally my last ten pounds on 3 very lovely Morgan spiced & coke, based on the fact that a tenner is neither near nor there in the overall scheme of things, and the vain hope of getting more than the three hours sleep a night I have been getting for the last month.

Rant over.

At least I can only go one way from here I guess

Yeah, hang in there, life can be a bh at times..

My advice is take each day as it comes, and try to get as much sleep as possible.

Things WILL get better, you just have to keep believing it.

Don't bottle things up, talk to anyone who'll listen.

Good luck.........

All the best mate. I had a similar time 18 months ago. All was going great, was getting married and then 3 weeks before the wedding "you've got cancer".

Anyway. 18 months on. I'm fixed, about to go back to work and we did get married.

Life does get better.

He is quite right.

Had to change up all my pennys and some euros I found in an old wallet just to put petrol in the car to see my dying Dad.

It will get better.

Whoa. Thats rough.
It was a tough time but I'm here to tell the tale. I'd just purchased my first house and got made redundant a month later. I was lucky I had and still have some great friends who saw me through it.

To the OP you've hit the bottom now you will start bouncing back.

I instantly thought of this song from your thread title: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdXdsF08SWQ

Give it a play, it's chilled me out over the years when life gets sh*t.

I had a fking horrific year last year. My dad died after a painful couple of years from cancer, even though in those couple of years his heart caused him almost as much trouble. My dog who has never been ill died a month or so later, from cancer. My mum has had cancer as well and now I have a lump so I am bricking it (not for the first time). I'm not doing much with my life, I do some IT work from home. I am intelligent enough to be doing much more, but I just can't be arsed.

That's the thing with life, unless you are extremely lucky, sometimes it is very very st. I now have another dog that could never replace Jasper but still makes me smile every time I see him. I have (and always have actually) some great friends and I know that if I just put my mind to it I can do a lot better. Sometimes it's worth just looking at the positives. As D:Ream said; Thiiiiiiiiiiings can only get bettteaaarr.
