anyone have any idea if there have been any polls on whats deemed as the best country to live in with regard to decent climate, low crime rate, quality of life, lack of spongers etc

Could do with a change at the moment

I guess I should qualify that it should be possible to actually move to such a country/ies if you are of average means financially, but do have a trade or profession. I imagine Monaco, Switzerland and Jersey are very nice but tend to restrict invaders such as me, which is probably why they are still nice

Top of my priority list would be decent seasonal climate and quality of life if you are prepared to work for it

Melbourne, Australia always comes in the top three places to live and it's not too hard to get into. A tad warm in the Northern parts of the city right now though...
