Now what I dont understand about this story is - normally they're moaning about food miles and damage to the environment shipping comestibles around, yet they complain that a home grown industry is suddenly growing.

One wonders if Lord Mandelson will add each of these factories to the UK industrial output figures, bringing us out of recession a bit quicker.

Surely it's the Eco Warriors who are the end users so they are just thinking of their carbon footprint?

Remember watching one of those heli cop things a while ago and the operator saying that if they flew about at night with the thermal camera on they could spot the properties with hydroponics a mile off because they stuck out like a sore thumb due to the heat inside the buildings, got to admire their ingenuity though silly

And they are saying the UK is losing it's manufacturing industry. Perhaps we could get ourselves out of the recession by becoming the legalised drug producing capital of the world. The government could even tax it, they tax everything else. wink
