Did you see this appalling pile of horse manure that was supposed to be a serious journalistic report? Did you? A complete and utter dog dirt of an article. Interviewing three inmates from the local brain farm who are happy to let mother Labour decide everything for them, and then bringing in the obligatory bereaved parent who thinks rural roads should be cut not only to 50, but 30 or even 20.

While I feel sorry for the chap's loss, the driver who killed his daughter was going 70, oh, and fuelled by a cocktail of drink and drugs, so how in the name of organic lentils would changing some paint on a bit of galvanised steel made any possible difference to the outcome.

Stupid biased cretinous bast-fk--ing-tards.

My thoughts exactly. How on earth would changing the speed limit have prevented this poor chaps loss is beyond me. The guy could have been doing 40 and he'd probably still have killed them.

Still, never let the facts get in the way of a PC story eh BBC.

I'm guessing most road fatalities are at low speeds in built up areas, but let's not let facts get in the way of another 'think of the children' motorist reaming.

I think it's deliberate, but "Berkfest" would be better, given that they're talking about making us go less fast.

Yertis is not only correct, he's also cleverer than me. Well done.

You can't win against motorists. They are legion. They want the roads to be their own private fiefdom where they can behave with impunity. I am lucky: I can walk to work without coming near them. I pity the cyclists and pedestrians forced into close proximity with the metal killing machines.

Exactly. Let him see what would really happen if everyone was razzing around in ED-209 GTIs.

Stop knitting. You have 20 seconds to comply.

Yep, and if you cycle on railway lines you'll find a lot of trains.
