Just wondering if anyone else experiences this with their OH?,
Having a normal conversation and suddenly they ask "why are you shouting"?,
You clearly know you wern't and were talking as normal, i'ts really annoying. I thought it was just me un till i was at my neighbours for a coffee and he was talking away in what i thought was normal volume when his wife said "why are you shouting"? To him.

And no, im not slightly deaf!

Sometimes, but I'm usually drunk when that happens.

All the bloody time.

Until I actually showed her what my version of shouting is.

Hasn't said it since.

Only a matter of time though.

Last time I responded in that way, she called me an arse. Not your wife. I meant an ex of mine. jester

I get that a lot and it's a sure fire way to get me wound up.
Another way to get me wound up is when we are having a discussion, bordering on an argument and she tells me to calm down, in a kind of tone that implies i was borderline hysterical.

But telling me I just told her to "fk off", seconds after I told her "go away", takes the buscuit. I am not an imbecile, I can remember what I have said for a good few minutes word for word, yet she can easily claim i have said something else seconds after i have said AND sincerely believe that it is what I said herself!!! :O

I always find that drinking too much and hoovering up loads of posh tends to make me rather, er, forceful when it comes to having a conversation. Maybe thats your problem.

I had a different issue, although I am a tad deaf also. My OH (at the time) would bizarrely choose to speak to me at the same volume no matter what room she was in and how many walls there were between her mouth and my ears! She could never quite fathom why I just ignored her when for instance she was nattering away from upstairs sitting on the khazi(sp?). She just assumed I could hear her!?

Seriously, they want to have an important conversation but really dont give a st what you think. You may as well STFU as far as they care.
