Have a short term project in Tibet which maybe up for grabs within the business.

Does anyone have any experience of Tibet either work or holiday as I'm wondering if it's worth persuing.

Go for it! I met a few Tibetan people in the mountains in Nepal near the border - unfortunately I never made it to Tibet itself frown But what an experience you would have!

Given the current climate I'd not touch it with a bargepole.

why?

it's within the remit of my permanent work contract, the only difference is that the site is in Tibet rather than a corner of the UK

The Dali Lama has very recently said that life in Tibet is a "hell on earth". Stirring up things with the Chinese.

There's a nascent instability bubbling away.

So long as you stay away from any demonstrations you should be fine.

Personally, I'd jump at the chance.

Mrs Bluebus worked there as a teacher for several months.

But she's not on PH. And she's at home, not here.

And it was several years ago.

She said it was exciting though.

There.

It was only on as background noise but the TV was showing the Chinese riot police out in force again.......... It COULD have easily been footage from the last drama and I may have misheard. But if not, then I don't think things are getting better anytime soon. And do you really want to saunter into that sort of melting pot?

Always thought that the bloke above was called Dai Llamar and wondered how a Welsh bloke had done so well...

Saying that, I always thought that Abu Dhabi was just up the road from Abergavenny. It's not!
