Am in two minds about it all to be honest, he should have been tried and found guilty/not guilty that is our failing.
Was he radicalised whilst in detention etc??

If he is captured again does he get a ticket to Gitmo or a 5.56 to the cranium??

Maybe they injected a micro tracker into his body and are tracking him as he meets the bad guys ... or have I been watching too many movies.

Or he's been brainwashed and is a spy for the US. They've put a small charge inside his head. If he doesn't cooperate, some CIA agent will press a button and he'll decorate his cave with his brains.

I cant see the issue really. We're at war, he's the enemy, he comes from the land we now occupy (Helmand).

Not as if we've tried to win him over with our 'love'.

Not sure what they expect the enemy to do. Sure we'll try and kill him anytime he's in Helmand again.

Or maybe they were terrorists anyway...

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... well would you let one fly the plane your family is going on holiday in?

Hardly surprising. Hold people without trial for a number of years then there is a fair chance they'll join the 'other side' once out. What surprises me is that it's only 10%, though perhaps it's because it says returned to terrorism.
Most people here will feel like attacking the Gov after the budgetsmile

From the article, it said he is operating freely in Quetta. That is not northern pakistan (I've played squash there) that is almost level with Lahore.
Hilly place, really nice, well wasbiggrin

Guantanamo totally justified imo. Quite why the Taleban have chosen to publicise this is bizarre though.
