Following this Helo crash recently, in which all crew and passengers were killed, it got me wondering. Can (do they) the passengers carry "spare air" type bottle/regs to improve their chances of escaping from an upturned aircraft?

What incident in particular?

Most of the life jackets used in the North Sea have a built in re-breather. Essentially just a bag you inflate by taking a deep breath, doesn’t give a huge amount of time but reasonable for what it is.
Would think your chances of getting out are more dependant on your physical condition after it ditches.
