Baby Bottles and Bisphenol A

Watching the news this morning and this issue came up.
Essentially the Canadian government has banned baby bottles cantaining Bisphenol A and manufacturers in the US have stopped using it. Predictably our government says its safe (BSE burger anyone?).
Anyone on here know anything about if, we've got a little one arriving shortly and I can't find anywhere detailing which bottles are at risk
I don't think this a foil hat momment as leaching toxins from plastics sounds feasible.
