Hi Guys and Dolls ,

The almost final date for Zolder 2009 will be Friday the 19 june 2009

This is the date that I took an option last CM in June 2008.

However, some dutch (wise) guys , asked for the 5th of June and they booked the hotel in Heerlen also on the 5th.

So they have to change the booking to Heerlen too.

Zolder will confirm me the Final date at Friday the 13th of February to me; not earlier

But for 99% it will be on Friday the 19 of June 2009

Do not book the ferry now, wait untill the Dutch Club will confirm the date: 5 people have to have a meeting for doing this :-):-)

As some people already know, I am no longer a part of the organising comittee , but I still have close contact with the Zolder direction.

Speak to you soon

Paul Sleurs

It is a track day and more, it is the chance to experience a great TVR focussed time away with like minded individuals. Probably the best TVR event of the year. Have a look on www.tvrcarclub.nl/ to see previous pics.

I like the idear of going to Zolder as I've just priced the P&O ferry from Hull at £238ish, from the 15th to 20th so I may nip over to the Ring before as a warm up, (doh!)

A little more info guy's please......... is it hotel or camping, 1 or 2 days on track also price. I looked on TVR NL webby but I don't read Dutch only jibberish.

Cheer's for all your help

Hotel, exclusive full day at Zolder & most people seem to stay 2/3 nights. As a newbie last year I thoroughly enjoyed it and it will be on my calendar from now on.

Everybody stays in a Motel on the Dutch border where they have an evening dinner after the track day. You'll be able to do the Ring, Spa, autobahns and Michael Schmacher Kart centre over the weekend, plus the actual track day at Zolder on the friday. There's currently 5 cars going Hull-Rotterdam 17 Jun, returning 21 Jun. There'll probably be a couple of cars on the Hull-Zeebrugge boat similar dates too.

It is a Mazda free experience! What car were you thinking of taking? There are other sports cars on the day but as to be expected TVR's get priority on the track I believe.

It will be better this year Ian, returning to it's traditional home at Heerlen. So that means a proper restaurant and no glass bathroom doors!

We've booked our room already and all the bathrooms in the room have glass doors!

I've been to Zolder in an Audi, a BMW and an Aston (as well as the 16 times with a TVR!). I'm sure they'll let you on the circuit, as long as you're not too quick hehe

I notice you dont say "are other-make cars allowed on track"

Does this mean the motor home has had nitrons and some R888s fitted? If so could you tell me how much and if you needed to get the geo redone??

Thanks for the replies.

Yes Stuart, I was thinking of taking the Mazda as I would also like to try it around the Nordschleife, I think it would handle the undulations quite well.

Colin, I suspect your long support of the event has some sway on you being allowed out in non TVR's (as well as being TVR royalty) do you know who is best to speak to to get a definate answer?

John, I have active suspension in the van, when I go left the dog's go and sit on the right and vise-versa.

John.

John, to be certain of the situation, I'd speak to William, the Dutch top-Honcho. It may help your cause if you don't mention you know me. hehe

Or you can do what I do (sometimes), book in a TVR and turn up in something else, citing mechanical failure!
