And can I get any more abbreviations in the title?

Thinking about going down to Vixpy1's rolling road in Surrey for the day coming up, but will I be the only Saab there!?

Anybody else interested?

I think I might get too depressed about the output from my NA 2.3

I'd like to take Saabine, but channel crossings are a bit dear no matter how you go about it, and I'm a bit strapped for cash ATM (as in: need to save for new apartment flooring, furniture, washing amchine & dryer etc)...

Anyone wants to sponsor me for the sake of humbling exotica?

I'd be up for this - if I still have F900.

On max boost the 9000 clutch slips a little but it should still put in a good show.

Ah, good to see all the usual suspects are there

Might have to find a way to come over, then... Group booking for the RR, then?

Well I went along and did this in the end, but got a bit of a disappointing result - 152bhp

It's a nice flat torque curve, just over 150ftLb dead flat between 3500 and 5500 rpm, but that doesn't explain why it's 20-30bhp down on what it should be.

Just had a big service, running very nicely on optimax, no hiccups, boosting into the red. Engine's only on 125k miles. Any of the experts (matt/eric?) do any distance diagnosis?

My only thought was that they were 3rd gear runs and I don't always seem to get max boost in 3rd - could this be it?

Combination of the timing being off and a weak wastegate actuator, when you say boosting into the red how quickly does it reduce down and to what level (mid yellow?)

Ah I meant at high rpm/load does the boost tail off as the rpm increases?

BTW Its Matt but I've nicked Slinkys laptop. Only just noticed I'm logged in on the wrong account

Ah, sorry, no idea, no boost plot on the graph.

Will check next time I go for a drive...

You sure that is a flywheel corrected number? I ask that 'cause max torque should be in the 200 lb/ft range, not barely over 150 - and peak torque is more directly related to boost normally because at the kind of rpm max torque happens, flow restrictions/fueling issues etc. are not an issue yet. And as you;re reporting the boost gauge -does- get into the red zone, and there are no real running issues on the road...

The usual mode for turbo cars that post disappointing peak hp numbers, is good torque at lower rpm that tails off rather too quickly, and max power happening at too low rpm.

I've been told they're at the fly.

Have the plots online now :

Power/Torque

Power/AFR

Random plot with less power - not sure what this one's there for, but got it handed to me
