Guys. I am looking to change my car in a 6 months time. So i need to start thinking about changing now as some cars still have 6 month waiting lists.

I have been thinking about a 9-3 cabriolet. It will just be Linear model.

What is this like? and what sort of costs would I expect over 3 years inc Servicing & depreciation.

What insurance group are these?

Tim.

I have had mine nearly a year now and i'm very pleased with it.The only thing that has gone wrong so far is the turbo and cylinder head gasket which both went at 95000 miles.A very quick car with the best roof system of any convertible, holds it's value really well servicing is once a year so I am just coming up to my first service and MOT now, will tell you servicing costs soon, all in all get one .Without the roof they are one of the best looking cars around.

It will be a brand new car.

When I first spoke to my mrs about the saab it was"oh I Don't like Saab's", "I don't want a convertable", & "Saabs are horrible, I want an Astra". Showed her the brochure online last night and her remarks suddenly changed to "Oh thats really nice", "When can we go and see one" & "Your dad will be jealous if you get that"

Good driving convertibles, and much improved over previous shape,

BUT...

Under no circumstances buy a Linear model, depreciation wise (NO ONE will want it used!)it will be the kiss of death, far better off buying a used Vector

Thats better!!

She has wanted a new astra since they came out. As she can't drive yet she thinks the Astra will be great to learn in.

Yes, that was a moment for me too

New cars are very good by all accounts, only place they fall down is that interior quality is not up to German rivals as I understand it. They look gorgeous though
