I'm getting 23.5mpg on average. Is this the right ballpark? (autobox/not tuned).

What's yours and tune?

probably about right for an auto - i've heard of others getting lower than this, albeit mainly in urban environments

my previous manual 9-5 with the usual formula St 3 did anywhere between 25 and 35 depending on how i'd been using it.

28-ish, doing quite a lot of motorway at the moment. Auto, standard.

Currently averaging 30mpg, but it's a manual. The autos seem much thirstier.

I'd have loved a manual. None available though when I was looking

I had a 9 5 non aero, manual. Huge difference depending on driving style. Around town, never better than 20 mpg even driven like a nun. On long trips cruising away at motorway speed, high 30s.

I can get high twenties round town of I really try, but that's minimal revs and throttle openings and really concentrating on minimising the need to brake. It's not how I usually choose to drive it.

420-450miles per tank full (filling up when it gets to about 60miles to go on the SID) SID reads about 29-31mpg on average. We dont do too much in town driving, but stop start on the M60

That's why I took to the back roads going to/from Birkenhead. Feck it was slow.

I average about 500miles per tank with a 2.0T 192bhp manual estate. That's a daily 75 mile round trip commute on the A1 in variable traffic.

Over the past year my normal work route and school run yields 27-28mpg If I really tried I guess 30mpg would be possible.

A long motorway trip can yield as high as 38mpg.

4000 miles across Europe I averaged 33MPG and was heavily loaded. At least 300kg's over a normal daily load.

Across the Autobahn with the cruise set to 120mph I averaged 22mpg.

Car is a manual estate.

I drove from Swindon to Norfolk last Friday. Traffic was busy, so I took it easy. On arrival it was claiming it had done 41.8mpg. It got used a bit over the weekend, which dropped the reading a bit. Route home involved a lot of traffic and a lot of A roads and roundabouts rather than motorways. It was claiming 38mpg when I filled it up, actual fuel consumption brim to brim was 37.4mpg.
