9-5 boot lock query

Somehow i've managed to push the boot latch to the locked position , now I'm unable to shut the boot as it thinks it's locked.

Any suggestions ?

I've already tried using a screw driver to try and force the latch back to the open position with no luck.

Have you tried unlocking it again with the key or button on the door?
Probably a silly question....
