Afternoon everyone, I’m eyeing up a 9-3 estate. Diesel 1.9 quite possibly though I’d like an aero if I can find one that suits me. How easy is it sourcing parts for Saab’s generally and more specifically for the 9-3? I do all work myself so don’t want to be struggling getting parts or paying astronomical prices for them.

I've had no problems getting bits for my 9-5. I've used Saabits, Jamsaab, PartsForSaabs, Abbott Racing and R&D in the Netherlands and general stores like ECP & GSF will also carry parts since there's a lot of GM parts used. Get yourself a copy of the WIS and EPC and you can find the part numbers of what you need and just google them.

There's also decent parts support from companies like Bosch, Meyle, Lemforder, FAG e.t.c and using their respective catalogs and parts numbers will yield results too.

Had my 9-3 for a year now TTid 2011.

No issues with parts at all, most mechanical parts are Fiat/Alfa, well with the TTid's, so that won't be a problem.

Loads of specialists also Neo Brothers to name a popular one.

Also, the Swedish Government own the car parts company and will continue to produce parts for the foreseeable.

Go for it, love mine, been a long time lover of the Saab 9-3, so wanted a good last model one and I haven't been disappointed.

Have a readers ride on here if you interested in my time with it smile

Cheers all. Bought a £1000 07 9-3 vector sport estate 1.9 TiD a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying it so far, it’s featured in the joy of running an old shed thread a couple of times.
