Shame I was in the Ford Focus and not the chimaera!

Can the average women actually handle the power of a Tuscan, and before I get slated can I just state the following piece of evidence indicating they cant. I WAS STOCK CAR RACING LAST WEEK AND TWO WOMEN WERE ALSO ON THE TRACK, THEY WERE RUBBISH, IT WAS LIKE SEEING TWO OLD GRANNIES MANOVERING SHOPPING TROLLYS, THEY ENDED UP ACTUALLY CRASHING INTO EACH OTHER! THEY MADE THE TRACK VERY DANGEROUS FOR US GUYS.

Not saying that girls cant drive
but your average woman driver (note i said average) would find it difficult to handle a Tuscan, im sure most of us on here have had many hair raising moments where a small peice of excrement has left are souls in to are underwear and i really cant see the opposite sex handling a situation like that.
I thought it would be fun to let the misses go round the block in the Tusc, pulled of like a kangaroo went round the first bend and i had to say sorry love your gonna have to pull over. She is a good driver
with full no claims bonus but no claims v's 380 bhp you no who's gonna win.
Sorry to all lady Tuscan drivers - it just means your way above average.

I let my misses drive the Tuscan, same as you round the block, and my gear box seemed to be full of neutrals, it was truely terrfiying. She has been driving for 17 years and on paper has a better track record than I however, thankfully she surrended the wheel to me when the traffic built up too much behind us - she has never driven it since thank heavens.

in aberdeen there is (what seems to be from a distance) a quite atractive woman driving around in a charcoal/rainbowy coloured tuscan, the few times i have spotted it she has been faily letting rip!
Its a bloke with a wig surely, if you pulled up beside her and wound the window down she would porbably say "IM A LADY"

Oh dear. A lot of testosterone in this thread.
Personally I was a bit wary of driving our Griffith - especially as Mr Big tends to get the back end out quite a bit. Then I tried it and it wasn't really that difficult - and you don't have to drive it so the back end slides on every roundabout. And yes I have had some scary moments (but don't tell anyone)
Personally, being a lady of matureish years, I can remember when cars were not as sophsticated as they are now. Clutches were not as forgiving and you had to get the revs just at the right level at the point of biting. Maybe a lot of younger women have only driven modern cars which are a lot easier to drive and that is why some have problems.
But I do think a lot of it is male hype. Thankfully now we have the Tuscan, I get to drive the Griffith more than my OH - and believe me it is a lot easier to drive when he is not in the passenger seat.

The woman in question lives just outside Thaxted, you can see her in Waitrose car park in Saffron Walden most Saturdays getting her shopping. She has had the car from new and drives it everday. The last time I saw her she was on the phone in the car park and a woman asked her if she could take her picture, total respect to her!
