Not sure if it was you but i vagely remember the Number plate looking something like yours on the M20 coastbound between junctions 3 and 4 on Wednesday night around 7.30pm.

If so unfortunatly i was in the wifes Galant VR4 and not the Sag otherwise i would have give the old TVR appreciation wave. Due to me being in a semi performance Jap vehicle i decided not to because as i do when a Subaru, Evo or a like waves at me when in the Sag i feel a little embarresed for the poor misguided fools who think that they are in the same performance league as us TVR owners and i didn't want you to feel sorry for me all night.

By the way before everyone jumps on the Performance Jap thing don't bother as i own one and cannot recommend or speak highly enough of them for what they do. But don't start telling me how in the wet blah, blah, blah as quite frankly they are not in the same league with their traction control, abs, 4wd, turbo lag, etc. etc. to even be considered a true performance car. My Mum could drive one and beat most cars on the road as they are idiot proof. TVR's are a different breed of car and one which should be respected by all. I think the term i would use is "Drivers Car" for the TVR as opposed to "Car that Drives" for the Japanese rockets.

Hi Nick. Yep it was me.

I was working at Tunbridge Wells that week and went to take my Son out for a Chinese (he lives near Maidstone with his Mum).

Sadly for me, Austin Powers (the Voice of Sat Nav) got his knickers in a twist and sent me the wrong way down the M20 for a while. But strangely, it didn't really worry me. An extra 10 miles or so on the journey? In a TVR? Pfah..

Not in your league with the Jap cars, but our old Nissan Sunny 2.0 GTi and supercharged MX5 mean that I fully understand what you mean. Great cars, for what they are. But the hair shirt aspect of the TVR is totally different and gives the biggest grin ever.

And your Cobra must be a bloody hoot too. Still wrangling for a go in my uncle's one. Not gonna give up.
