Hi -
Last night my alarm was constantly going off. It started during heavy rain and in the end I had to shut it off. This morning I tried to re-activate it, but all I get is the long warning note and then the alarm goes off.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is is possible that rain could have got into the circuit?
Cheers

yep - sounds like one the sensors is shorted out - had this on my car...it turned out to be the boot sensosr. Had it replaced under warranty and then it was fine.

Id check the boot, then door sensors. Inspect the boot one for loose wires/water ingress etc - maybe a squirt of WD40 will sort it out for now

The other possibility is a flat battery. I made the mistake of leaving my lights on this weekend, with exactly the same end result. The alarm system triggers if the battery voltage drops below a certain level, to prevent thieves simply disconnecting the battery, then won't disable until the battery is recharged.

Agree with both Bogie and Martin (mine went gaa-gaa when the battery died).

If those don't sort it also check the fuses and relays... one of my relays went due to water ingress, which also caused the alarm to do funny things as it was on that circuit I believe.

Best of luck, electrical probs are (nearly) always the most annoying!!

I had this problem and it was the boot sensor, which had come slightly loose and was enough to give out the warning tone
