I wondered whether it would affect resale much to get my Elise serviced by Dave Andrews?

I've used Brooke Kensington in the past - obviously they're not an official dealer but they seem to be quite well recognised.
Whereas a non-enthusiast might not know who DVA is?

Didn't know DVA "serviced" cars, thought he was an engine builder?

If you're trying to sell a standard, newish, (< 3 years old), low mileage car then you'd be best off getting the dealer stamps, or at least using a recognised independent like B-K.

If your car is older than this, or done a few miles, or modified at all then as long as you have evidence of work having been carried out correctly I'd say it makes no difference at all.

I didnt think DVA did servicing either - he usually too busy doing upgrades/engines etc....aftersale wise then any specialist stamp in the book will do - dealer history is sometimes worse...particularly if you are educated in dealer service !
