I have been advised that to get the most out of my Elise, I ought to get some circuit based driver training. I live near Hethel and obviously they have their academy (pricey though)....does anyone recommend anyone else??

Andy offers several types of training, including circuit work.

I've done a couple of days at the LDA and the training is very good - Martin Donnelly is their chief instructor!

It's pricey but consider the Elise hire/fuel/tyres/other wear & tear/track hire/instruction costs separately and it works out to a bargain. Most other courses you'll be in your own car and Lotus have just spent millions on the FIA standard track, certainly a better surface than an airfield. I did write a review of the Level II course there late last year, Google it and I'm sure you'll find it smile

I did the LDA course too - excellent day and interesting being instructed by an ex F1 driver. It was good that it was their cars we were abusing not our own. Their cars go faster despite having less power. ;-)

Did Lotus Driver Training in 2000 and other courses with them and as others have said you get to razz their cars.

CAT Driver Training based at Millbrook Proving Ground is also very good. Colin Hoad is a very special instructor and highly qualified.
