Parts from Lotus

Does it normally take a long time for parts to arrive from lotus to a garage, anyone had any experience of this?

Unfortunately from what I understand from other people Yes ! So far, personally, I have only had to have one part ordered, a interior door panel and that took 8 weeks !!!!!

I think it must depend on whether what you want is in stock at the parts store. I believe that Lotus use Proton's part's distribution warehouse and network - nothing is stocked at Hethel so even my dealer (Stratton) have to order in from there (I'm happy to stand corrected if this has changed during my recent 18 months without a Lotus...). Having said that, they get 2 deliveries per week and everything I've ordered has turned up within a few days....

Thanks, well my car had a front end collosion with a concrete post (slipped the handbrake)

So its a new front end, radiator and undertray, cant wait to get it back. Just dreading insurance renewal, lost all my no claims
